LabProtocol.co is an AI-powered platform that generates detailed, reproducible lab protocols. You select a technique, enter your parameters, and our AI creates a complete protocol with materials lists, step-by-step instructions, timing, and troubleshooting.
How accurate are the generated protocols?
Our AI generates protocols based on established scientific literature and best practices. However, all protocols should be reviewed by qualified personnel and validated against your lab's SOPs before use. AI-generated content may contain errors or omissions.
Which techniques are supported?
We support 10 techniques: Western Blot, PCR, ELISA, Cell Culture, Molecular Cloning, Bacterial Transformation, Transfection, Immunoprecipitation/Co-IP, ChIP, and Flow Cytometry. More techniques are added regularly.
Can I use generated protocols in publications?
Yes. Protocols you generate are owned by you and can be used in publications, grant applications, and lab documentation. We recommend citing LabProtocol.co as a tool used in protocol development.
Can I upload research papers?
Yes. You can upload PDF research papers to extract relevant methodologies and parameters. The platform analyzes uploaded papers to generate more context-aware and accurate protocols.
What is PubMed search?
LabProtocol.co includes a built-in PubMed search that lets you find and import relevant literature directly within the app. Search by keyword, author, or PMID to pull in reference papers that inform your protocol parameters.
Can I use multiple papers for one experiment?
Yes. Multi-paper experiments let you combine insights from several uploaded or imported papers to generate protocols that synthesize methodologies across multiple sources.

Is there a free plan?
Yes. Free accounts include 5 protocol generations per month with no credit card required.
What does Pro include?
Pro ($19/month) includes unlimited protocol generations, PDF export, API access, and version history.
What does the Lab plan include?
Lab ($49/month) includes everything in Pro plus team collaboration, shared protocol libraries, and priority support.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. You can cancel your subscription at any time from the Settings page. You'll retain access until the end of your billing period.
Do you offer academic discounts?
Yes. Contact support@labprotocol.co with your institutional email for academic pricing.

Is my data secure?
Yes. We use encryption in transit and at rest, row-level security, and follow data minimization principles. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Is there an API?
Yes. Pro and Lab users can generate protocols programmatically via our REST API. See the API Reference for details.
Can I export protocols?
Pro and Lab users can export protocols as PDF. All users can copy protocol text.
How is my input data used?
Your input parameters are sent to our AI model to generate protocols. We do not use your data for training. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Does LabProtocol.co support dark mode?
Yes. Toggle between light and dark themes using the theme switcher in the navigation bar. Your preference is saved automatically across sessions.
